Nice day for a White Wedding

Commissioned monochrome wedding card.  This was for a colleague in work, who asked for black and white.  I struggled at first finding the right balance between the two shades as I didn't want to overload it with black.  I felt the dominant shade should be white, with black as the accent, as I didn't think it would look right if there was too much black on a wedding card.  I hope I managed to achieve the right balance!  I think I'm in love with the silky crush ribbons, I can't stop using them on cards these days!  I made a triple bow using the bow maker on my Crafter's Companion Ultimate Pro.

Oval Box

This was my first attempt at an oval box.  It's a bit tricky but I'm quite pleased with the result!  I used purple pearlescent card.  I needed 41cm of card to curve around the box, but I only had A4 size, so I glued the card together and used pearl embellishments to disguise the join on either side of the box.  I hid the end of the lace ribbon with little flowers :)

I used paper flowers from Create and Craft, pearl embellishments from Hobby House, cream roses from Kanban, ivory Centura Pearl card, Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals die, purple pearlescent card from Ebay (don't know the brand) and ivory lace ribbon.

Heart shaped box

Pink and white box with interlocking heart shaped lid, with pearl embellishments and white lace ribbon.  I used Crafter's Companion Ulti-Boxes Embossing Board to construct the box.  The pearl embellishments are from Hobby house.

Going To The Chapel

Wedding card commissioned by a work colleague, which she was sending to a relative in Ireland.  It was a last minute order, and she wanted me to put bells, a little church and a signpost saying St Mary's Church, Derrybeg.  I was panicking as I didn't have any churches in my crafty stash, but my local craft shop had a suitable die, so I was able to fulfil her request - phew!  Craftworld, Hillington to the rescue!  She was over the moon with the card, it's so nice to know that it's appreciated :)

Box it up

Gift box made with lemon pearlescent card.  I used the Ultimate Pro boxmaker to construct my box.  I love the boxmaker, it's such a handy tool.  No more having to cut slivers off your base, the tool does all the hard work for you!  I embellished the box using a white organza flower that I bought off QVC years ago (I can't remember the brand unfortunately) and white/silver organza ribbon from Create and Craft.

When life gives you lemons...

I made this bracelet for a colleague's 50th birthday.  925 sterling silver with lemon quartz rondelles and white freshwater cultured pearls.  I used monofilament with the lemon quartz, as the drillholes are quite small, and I used calottes/clamshells at the ends with a dab of jewellery glue on the knot to secure it.  She was very surprised and absolutely delighted with it!
